A Woman Went Looking for a Wedding Date on Twitter, and Ended Up Marrying the Guy

Back in 2014, a woman in London named Llia Apostolou needed a date for her sister's wedding.  We're not sure how old she is, but she looks like she's in her early 30's.

So she got on Twitter, and asked if there were any random guys out there who'd go with her.

It looks like she kind of did it as a joke.  Her tweet said, "Are you a man?  Can I borrow you for a wedding next weekend?  Bonus points if you can source a baby that I can pretend is mine too."

But a guy she'd never met named Phil Gibson responded and said HE'D go.  He wrote that he had "a suit and everything."

For whatever reason, she didn't end up taking him.  Maybe she realized bringing a random WEIRDO from Twitter was a little risky.

But they did go on a date a few days after he sent the tweet.  And now they're in the news because of another wedding . . . their OWN.

They got married this week, almost exactly three years after they first met on Twitter.
