It's how the song might've sounded in each decade from the 1920s to the 1990s, which is when the show debuted. There are flappers in the '20s, a crooner in the '30s, a Freddie Mercury-type in the '80s . . . and the real-life Rembrandts, who did the original version, in the 1990s.
