MORON AWARD: Man Got a DUI for Driving a Drone Under the Influence

A Man Got a DUI for Driving a Drone Under the Influence

A man in Japan was arrested for flying a DRONE while under the influence, which actually IS illegalin Japan, as well as several other areas, including New Jersey.

It happened a few weeks back. He's a 56-year-old man, and he drank eight beers between 7:00 A.M. and noon.

The morning drinking had a wild effect on him, because he decided to clean his place. In the process, he found a drone that he hadn't flown in a while.

He got it out . . . took it for a spin . . . and promptly crashed it into a neighbor's window. Thankfully, it sounds like no one was hurt, and when the police came, the man admitted to DRINKING AND DRONING.

It's unclear how he might be punished. The law hasn't been on the books long, and supposedly he's the first guy to be busted for it. But offenders could face a fine up to around $2,700.
