A Guy Robbed a Postal Worker at Gunpoint and Only Wanted Rubber Bands
A postal worker in Bridgeport, Connecticut was out delivering mail on Monday, when a 56-year-old guy named Wilson Ortiz robbed her.
He walked up to her mail truck and pulled a GUN. But he didn't want the mail she was delivering, or even her wallet. All he wanted was RUBBER BANDS.
He told her to give him all the rubber bands she had. Mail carriers have lots of them apparently. The post office uses them to keep our mail organized before it's delivered.
She was worried he might shoot her, so she didn't ask questions. She just gave him a big handful, and he took off on foot. There was also a teenage boy with him, but it doesn't sound like he's in any trouble.
Cops tracked Wilson down nearby and knew they had their man . . . because he had a big wad of rubber bands wrapped around one of his wrists. They also found a small amount of PCP in his pocket.
He's facing charges for robbery, possession of a controlled substance, and child endangerment.
