Weird Requests Artists Have Made on Tour
You know you've made it as an artist when you're able to make ridiculous requests during a tour or appearance. Like when VAN HALEN famously requested a bowl of M&Ms with the brown ones picked out for each tour stop.
Here is a list of other weird requests artists have made:
1. Weird Al Yankovic: He requested one "garish" Hawaiian shirt at every appearance. Eventually he stopped when he collected too many.
2. Cher: She likes a separate room for her wigs.
3. Jennifer Lopez: She prefers an all-white dressing room to keep her mind and spirit at ease. So, white candles, couches, tables, and flowers.
4. Rihanna: She likes to have a plush, animal print rug to walk barefoot on.
5. Justin Timberlake: He has doorknobs sanitized every two hours.
6. Beyoncé: She has her dressing room set to 78 degrees and likes to have well-seasoned chicken.
7. Selena Gomez: After her breakup with Justin Bieber in 2014, she had those on her team named Justin go by different names.
8. Jay-Z: During a 2009 tour, he requested SEVEN dressing rooms and high-quality peanut butter and jelly.
9. Britney Spears: At a 2011 London show, she requested McDonald's cheeseburgers without the buns, 100 figs and prunes, toothpaste, fish and chips, and a framed photo of Princess Diana.
10. Metallica: During their 2004 tour, they requested bacon to be served with every meal.
