Kanye West, much like his presidential pal Donald Trump, is not one to mince his words. So when asked to share his thoughts about wife Kim Kardashian meeting with the President of the United States on the interest of a convicted grandmother, he didn't hold back.

The "Yikes" rapper expressed his true feelings of Kardashian and Trump's one-on-one during Thursday night's (August 9) sit-down with Jimmy Kimmel on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

"She's super passionate about it and it was amazing for her to see that dream come true," West told Kimmel, lauding the reality star, who's White House appointment with President Trump culminated in 63-year-old Alice Marie Johnson receiving clemency from the life sentence she was charged with for a drug offense in the early 1990s.

When asked if he was apprehensive or concerned about his wife meeting with Trump alone, the 41-year-old star gave a surprising answer. "He is a player," West responded jokingly, earning rollicking applause from the audience. “You know, it’s funny, in this world that we live in there’s two main motivating forces. I tweet about it all the time: love and fear. you can’t explain love."

The "All Mine" musician followed his statements by doubling down on his support for Trump, whom he acknowledges as an ally despite the criticism he faced from the African-American community.

“As a musician, an African American guy on Hollywood, all these different things, everyone around me tried to pick my candidate for me,” West said. “And they told me every time I said I liked Trump I couldn’t say it out loud or my career would be over, I’d get kicked out of the black community because blacks are only supposed to have a monolithic thought, we can only be Democrats.”

"The confidence to take on the world and the possible backlash. It took me a year and a half to have the confidence to stand up and put on the ["Make America Great Again"] hat no matter what the consequences were,” continued, adding, "You can’t bully me, liberals can’t bully me, the news can’t bully me because at that point if I’m afraid I’m no longer 'Ye. I actually quite enjoy when people are mad at me about certain things.”
