A Porch Pirate Gets Busted After Stealing a Box Filled with Dog Food and a Urine-Testing Kit

Here's what I don't get about "porch pirates."  Is it really worth risking years in jail when you don't even know what's INSIDE the box you're stealing?

A 27-year-old guy named Andrew Felix was caught on camera taking several boxes off people's porches in Cincinnati on Saturday.  At least two people's doorbell cameras got clear shots of his face, and police arrested him the next day.

(Here's a video.)

So what did he end up trading his freedom for?  Well, one of the packages he stole had women's clothing in it.  That was the BEST thing he got.

The other box contained a pair of gym shorts . . . a 27-pound bag of dog food . . . and a half-gallon jug used for testing URINE.

The urine jug was part of a testing kit someone ordered to see if they can donate a kidney to their cousin.  So now the cousin has to wait even longer to see if they're a match.

Andrew made his first court appearance on Sunday.  It's not clear how much prison time he's facing.  (WCPO)
