The ten hardest-working states this year are: North Dakota . . . Alaska . . . Wyoming . . . Texas . . . Nebraska . . . Oklahoma . . . Colorado . . . Virginia . . . Maryland . . . and Hawaii.

According to the results, the ten states with the most SLACKERS are: West Virginia . . . New Mexico . . . Rhode Island . . . Michigan . . . Ohio . . . Connecticut . . . New York . . . Oregon . . . Mississippi . . . and Arizona.

Overall, Americans work harder than people in most countries though . . . an average of 1,779 hours a year. (That's higherthan Germany, France, the U.K., Japan, Italy, and Canada. Mexico works the most hours at 2,137 a year.)
