Josh Duhamelโ€™s Thanksgiving Plans Will Melt Your Heart: Watch

Josh Duhamelโ€™s returning to the big screen with directorial debut Buddy Games, but heโ€™s a dad first and foremost. The actor Zoomed with Ryan Seacrest on Tuesday, November 24, and shared he plans on spending Thanksgiving bonding with his son, Axl, 7.

โ€œNormally Iโ€™d be back in North Dakota,โ€ Josh shared with Seacrest of his Thanksgiving plans. โ€œMy boy and I are just going to be here at the house. Iโ€™m not going to cook. I would never put my son through that,โ€ he jokingly added. โ€œIโ€™m not going to attempt a Thanksgiving dinner.โ€

Josh added that he was stuck in Mexico for the past month, which is the longest heโ€™s gone without seeing his mini-me, whom he shares with ex Fergie.

โ€œWeโ€™re just going to have a good few days just he and I hanging out. He likes the Mandalorian now so I guess weโ€™re going to watch that,โ€ he added, referring to the hit Disney+ series.

You can also catch Buddy Games in select theaters this holiday weekend. The movie stems from Duhamelโ€™s own childhood.

โ€œThatโ€™s part of the reason I wrote this movie is you really have to be imaginative when you grow up in North Dakota,โ€ he added. โ€œWe played sports, weโ€™d make up games and it turned into this thing that we did for the last 20 years โ€ฆ called buddy games. โ€ฆ Itโ€™s a weekend of games and debauchery and a reason for the guys to get together. โ€ฆ Itโ€™s about brotherhood and friendship.โ€
