Josh Duhamelโs returning to the big screen with directorial debut Buddy Games, but heโs a dad first and foremost. The actor Zoomed with Ryan Seacrest on Tuesday, November 24, and shared he plans on spending Thanksgiving bonding with his son, Axl, 7.
โNormally Iโd be back in North Dakota,โ Josh shared with Seacrest of his Thanksgiving plans. โMy boy and I are just going to be here at the house. Iโm not going to cook. I would never put my son through that,โ he jokingly added. โIโm not going to attempt a Thanksgiving dinner.โ
Josh added that he was stuck in Mexico for the past month, which is the longest heโs gone without seeing his mini-me, whom he shares with ex Fergie.
โWeโre just going to have a good few days just he and I hanging out. He likes the Mandalorian now so I guess weโre going to watch that,โ he added, referring to the hit Disney+ series.
You can also catch Buddy Games in select theaters this holiday weekend. The movie stems from Duhamelโs own childhood.
โThatโs part of the reason I wrote this movie is you really have to be imaginative when you grow up in North Dakota,โ he added. โWe played sports, weโd make up games and it turned into this thing that we did for the last 20 years โฆ called buddy games. โฆ Itโs a weekend of games and debauchery and a reason for the guys to get together. โฆ Itโs about brotherhood and friendship.โ
