When Will Your Kids Wake Up on Christmas Day?

Every parent knows alarm clocks are unnecessary on Christmas Day. The kids will be up plenty early and they'll be more than happy to wake mom and dad. Even the teenagers will get up early on Christmas day believe it or not. But how early are we talking here?

A recent survey found the average kid will wake up at 6:44 A.M on Christmas. So, you can expect to be disturbed almost immediately following that. While it's true the younger kids will be up at the crack of dawn, if you're a parent of teenagers, they won't be far behind. The average teenager will make it to 7:00 A.M. That's right. The bump on log, sleep till noon on Saturdays teenagers still have enough Christmas spirit left in them to wake up early enough to get stuff. And even crazier, 15% of teenagers will actually wake up their parents BEFORE 7!!

Here's another little fun fact for you; one in six parents will also be woken up by children who can't sleep in the middle of the night because they're too excited. And HALF of parents will end up telling their kids that Santa might not show up if they don't get back to sleep.

My family are Christmas Eve people. We open our stuff the night before, so you'd think I'd be immune from the kids waking me up early on Christmas Day. No such luck though. Instead they wake me up excited to PLAY with their new stuff. So, no one really escapes the early mornings, but honestly, who would want to? -RJ
