New App Effective as Ritalin

It's been an interesting day in the "app" world that's for sure. The Pope in Rome just announced a new "click to pray" app in one part of the world, while another part of the globe, England to be exact, announced today that a new app could be as effective as Ritalin.

Researchers at the University of Cambridge recently creating a brain training game called "Decoder," where your goal is to spot sequences of numbers. Now, there are tons of brain training games out there but this one is actually newsworthy. The University just ran a study where people had to take a test after playing the game for a while.

They found that people's concentration was temporarily boosted so well that it was as effective as taking Ritalin. For those who don't know, Ritalin is what people with ADHD take to help them focus. If you're interested in checking it out for yourself, you can download an app with the game for free just by searching Peak Brain Training in your app store. It comes bundled with a few other games but from what we've learned today the others might not be as effective as Decoder. Decoder is currently only included with the Peak Brain Training app for iPhones but should be hitting Android later this year.
