In the hot seat! The Bacheloretteâs Tyler Cameron stopped by On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Friday, October 18, and we asked him all the burning questions.
ICYMI, Tyler made a name for himself after appearing on Hannah Brownâs season of The Bachelorette with his (obvious) good looks and charm, and while Hannah B. didnât end up picking the construction worker/model, the duo made headlines by reconnecting After the Final Rose special when Tyler was â now infamously in Bachelor Nationâs eyes â seen leaving her apartment early one morning.
âWeâre friends,â Tyler said when Ryan asked him about the pics. âWeâll just leave it at that.â
The hunk then went on to briefly date model Gigi Hadid and while we didnât keep pressing for all the deets, Tanya Rad did find out the latest.
Does Tyler have regrets not being the next Bachelor?
âNo,â he admitted. âMy heart just wasnât in it; I had some stuff going on at home and it just wasnât where my heart was at and it just wasnât the right time for me.â
Does he believe in marriage?
âOf course. Of course I believe in marriage,â he added. âOne thing that really mattered to me was when I was going to propose to Hannah, was I only want to get down one knee for one person. So I was kind of grateful for the part that I didnât have to get down on knee and be told no, you know? So I can save that for the right person. ⊠I want to have a big family one day have a bunch of rugrats running around; I want to have my own basketball team.â
Whatâs his ideal girl?
âWhat I look for in a girl is â one of my favorite sayings ever is â âthrough love serve one anotherâ [so] someone thatâs willing to serve others and take care of the community and the people around us,â he shared. âSomeone who is just ready to cut it up and have fun; I like to dance and goof.â
While heâs still on the hunt for his person, heâs spending his newfound time in New York City wisely, running ABC Food Tours, a program he created with his roommate after college to help underprivileged kids explore opportunities they might not get the chance to otherwise.
âIn college we had this platform ... and we would work with inner-city kids and theyâd come eat with us and tell stories and it would just be fun and when we gradated, we didnât have that platform anymore ⊠so we wanted to recreate that platform so we started this in NYC in the Lower East Side,â Tyler explained. â⊠We take these kids on fitness and food excursions. ⊠We just want to spark something in their head, like, what does it take for them to get to do this all the time? And we surround them with people in different career paths so they can talk to someone who has been a director ⊠an accountant ⊠just all kinds of work. ⊠We try to show them what this world and city has to offer them.â
