Stupid Criminal of the Afternoon Award

LEBANON, Maine —

Maine State Police said troopers arrested three men after they dragged a stolen shed down a road.

Police said the men stole the shed from a foreclosed property on Pork Street in Lebanon.

A person called police Sunday saying the men were dragging the shed down the road with a truck.

When officers arrived, they found the 25-foot-long shed blocking half the road.

Matthew Thompson, of Lebanon, Maine, was charged with theft by unauthorized taking.

Timothy James, of Pembroke, New Hampshire, was charged with theft by unauthorized taking.

Robert Breton, of Milton, New Hampshire, was charged with theft by unauthorized taking.

Police said other charges are likely.

The men were held on $5,000 bail.
